How it works
A public match is a booking left open
- One click turns a booking into a match with places to fill — same court, same schedule, no second system.
- The level is set by the organiser, on the federation scale of the country, so players land in games their own size.
- Everyone pays their share as they join: nobody fronts the money for the others, and nothing is settled after the game.
- It reaches beyond your members: the match appears in the SportFinder app to players who do not yet know your club.

Who keeps the court
The court is held for just long enough
An open match holds a real court. That is the whole point, and it is also the risk: a match that never fills would sit on your best slot until the day itself. So the hold is temporary, and it tightens as the date gets closer — the nearer the slot, the less time an incomplete match keeps it.
When the hold runs out, the slot goes back on general sale. Nobody is punished and nothing is cancelled behind anyone's back — the court simply stops being reserved for a game that is not happening.
First to pay, first served
When two groups want the same slot, the one that pays takes it. It sounds blunt written down, and it is the rule clubs argue about most — so we would rather state it plainly than let you discover it in production. It is what stops a slot being reserved by intention and lost by hesitation, and it is why a filled match is a paid match.

Level, not luck
The required level is part of the match. A beginner does not end up against your best pair, which is what makes people come back.
A place that frees up reopens
A player who cannot make it is replaced in self-service, another takes the place, and the refund follows on its own — without a phone call to you.

We are not going to tell you how many slots this fills — we do not know your club, and a number we invented would be worth nothing to you. What we will do is take your real occupancy on the demo and work it through with you. Our prices are already published.

Public matches
What is a public match, exactly?
One of your bookings, opened up. The organiser keeps the court but leaves places to fill; other players see it in the app and join. It is not a separate module and it does not create a second calendar — it is the same booking, with room left in it.
Who decides who joins?
You do, match by match. Open sign-up lets anyone at the right level join; organiser validation means nobody gets on court without approval. Clubs use both, often on different slots.
What happens if the match never fills?
The court is held for the time you allow, then goes back on general sale rather than sitting reserved for a game that will not happen. A slot nobody completed should not cost you the slot.
A player drops out the day before — what then?
Their place reopens automatically and the refund follows on its own. The other three keep their game instead of losing it, and you keep a paid court instead of an empty one.
Do my players pay a fee to join a match?
No. Each player pays their own share of the court price, and nothing else: no service fee, no cancellation fee. That is the only 0% we claim, and it is a whole one.
