Change software without losing your data

The reason most clubs stay on a system they have outgrown is not loyalty. It is the fear of a Saturday morning with two half-migrated calendars and a queue at the desk.

The day itself

The two systems are never open together

That single sentence is what makes a double booking impossible, and the order of the three steps is what makes it true. It does not change.

01 We close the old one it stops taking new bookings — which is what makes the remaining difference finite
02 We import the difference the bulk was already brought over beforehand, so only the last few days remain
03 We open SportFinder after the old one is closed, so there is no window in which both take a booking
About fifteen minutes, most of the time. And it works even better when the club has stopped taking bookings beyond a certain date in advance.

By default we place the cutover ten days after the kick-off meeting. If you would rather move straight away, we can — it is your call, not a constraint of the tool.

Your database

Your base arrives with you

Five kinds of data come across — contacts, bookings, credits, memberships and rankings — and our team runs the imports. You can watch the reports at every step, and a club that wants to do it itself can: the tool is simple enough for that, which is mostly a statement about how little is hidden.

  • It does not matter where you are coming from: the import maps your export column by column rather than relying on a ready-made recipe per vendor — which is why it copes with files we have never seen.
  • Nothing is written blind: every import is checked and reported before it lands, so a badly mapped column is caught before it becomes a wrong booking.
  • Taking two hours to two days, depending on how much there is. The rest of the schedule is meetings, not machinery.
Afterwards

Go-live day is not the day we let go

Thirty days of close support follow the switch: the period where the questions are small, constant and urgent, and where being left with a ticket form is what makes a migration feel like a mistake.

And your players get looked after too — announcement material, and optionally short walkthrough videos in your colours for clubs whose members are not app people. That one is scoped with you rather than sold as a standard package.

The way out

No minimum term, and an export that makes it real

The monthly plan has no imposed term. On its own that sentence is worth very little — every vendor says it — so it comes with the part that makes it checkable: contacts, bookings, balances and rankings export whenever you decide, in a format somebody else can read. Ask us for a sample export before you sign, not after. Ask the others too.

Frequently asked

What clubs ask before migrating

Will I lose my data when I switch?

No. Contacts, bookings, credits, memberships and rankings come across. Our import handles the common formats through column-by-column mapping rather than a ready-made preset for each vendor, which is why it copes with exports we have never seen before.

Who actually does the import — me or you?

We do. Normally our team runs it and you can read the reports at every step. The reason we talk about self-service at all is that the tool is simple enough for a club to do it alone if it wants to — it is an argument about how transparent the process is, not the way it usually goes.

How long is my club offline during the switch?

It is not. The cutover operation itself takes about fifteen minutes, and it happens while the old system is already closed to new bookings — so there is no window where both are taking reservations.

Can I try before committing?

The monthly plan has no minimum term, and your data exports whenever you decide. Those two go together: "no commitment" only means something if you can actually leave with everything you brought.

What about my players — who explains it to them?

We help you with that too. Announcement material and, as an option for clubs whose members are not used to apps, short walkthrough videos in your club’s colours. It is scoped on the demo rather than sold as a standard deliverable.

Let’s look at your migration, on your real data

Bring an export from your current system. We map it with you on the call and tell you straight what comes over and what does not.
