A tennis year has a shape
- Summer and winter are two products, not one membership with a note in the description: each has its own period, its own price and its own rules.
- A weekly slot is a product too — the same court, the same hour, every week of the season, sold once and booked once.
- Recurring bookings are set once: a court held every Tuesday at 6pm for the same group, for as long as you decide, without re-entering it week after week.
- Courts close for a club fixture over the period you choose — a scheduling rule, applied to the courts concerned, and nothing more mysterious than that.
Slot optimisation
The gaps between bookings are where the money leaks
When a booking lands badly, it does not cost you one slot — it costs you the forty minutes on either side of it, which nobody will ever buy. The engine that ranks the remaining slots was not written for tennis: it is the same one for every sport other than padel. What it does is favour the combinations that leave the rest of your day sellable.
- The calendar step is 30 minutes across the platform, so hour-long and 90-minute bookings line up naturally.
- Each court can carry its own duration and its own booking window, without touching the others.
Level and rankings
An internal ranking, and we say so plainly
No tennis federation is connected to SportFinder today — not the LTA, not another. We would rather write that sentence than let the word “rankings” do the suggesting. What you can run is a ranking internal to your club, sport by sport, which is enough to seed your own boxes, ladders and club nights, and enough for the partner search to put players of a similar level on the same court.

Every tennis club knows which hours sell themselves and which ones sit empty. The useful sum is what the empty ones would be worth filled — and that gets done on the demo, on your own figures, not with numbers we invented. Our prices are already published.

Can I block courts for a club fixture or a competition week?
Yes: you close the courts concerned over the period, and they stop being bookable online for that window. To be precise about what this is — it is a scheduling rule, not a federation integration. Nothing syncs a fixture calendar or results into SportFinder.
Does SportFinder connect to the LTA or another tennis federation?
No. No tennis federation is connected today, and we would rather say it plainly than let the word "rankings" suggest otherwise. What you can do is keep a ranking internal to your club, sport by sport, to seed your own boxes and ladders.
Do you handle coaching and lessons?
Not as a teaching system — there is no coach diary and no lesson billing. What is delivered is the recurring booking: a court held every Tuesday at 6pm for the same group, for as long as you set it. If your coaching programme is the heart of your club, say so on the demo and we will tell you straight whether we fit.
