Lots of calls, few bookings online
Despite modern facilities, the club kept running into one specific problem: few of its bookings went through online. With its previous system — Playtomic — most slots were still arranged by phone, and staff spent a great deal of time answering calls and entering bookings by hand.
On the players’ side, some were mainly trying to avoid the fees added on top of the court price — which made taking bookings all the harder. The club wanted to move that activity online, without friction, and win back the time spent on the phone.
A migration in one week, with no downtime
The move took seven days. Player accounts were exported from the previous system and imported into SportFinder, with a period of dual availability so that booking never closed: during the switchover, slots for the following days stayed bookable on one side, while dates further ahead were already opening on the other. Not a single day without the possibility of booking.
Book and pay, without a single call
From the club’s page, a player chooses a court, pays online — and can pay just their share when the booking is split between several people.
Create an open match and fill it
A player books a court and opens the match to the public: it becomes visible to the other players on the app, who can ask to join. A slot that would have stayed half empty fills itself.
And nobody has to keep watching a screen: every request and every acceptance triggers a notification. The organiser is told that a player wants to join; the player is told as soon as they are accepted.
No more service fees for its players
The most tangible change shows on the players’ side: on SportFinder, they no longer pay any service fee on their bookings — neither when they book, nor if they cancel. The price the club displays is the price paid, and the reason some players had for avoiding online booking disappeared along with the fees.
What that is worth to a club is measured case by case — our prices, for their part, are already published.
“I have never regretted switching from Playtomic to SportFinder. Benjamin and the team are always available, always listening. The transition was very efficient.”
